A PHOTOGRAPHER FRIEND
This gallery is my first foray into a photographic challenge arena. I will be creating photos based on word or theme on a weekly basis. My photography and confidence in it has grown tremendously since I joined SmugMug...now I am ready for the next step. I look forward to criticisms and help to continue my growth and hopefully some supportive comments to retain my confidence as I participate in this weekly dare to my technical talents as a photographer and creative vision using photography as my tool!

The A Rose is a Rose Challenge...05/11/09
The Challenge:Show us your interpretation of A Rose is a Rose.

The Result: Last week, when I saw the challenge for this week, there was not room for any other thought in my mind when the word Rose was the challenge than my Aunt Rose. I think most of you already know, but this is my Aunt Rose who passed away last Tuesday morning 5/5/09 at the age of 92. This shot was taken on her 90th birthday....she was a very wonderful and remarkable woman who was loved by all who knew her..she will always be my first thought when it comes to talking about Roses..she was the best!
