Post 280 11/01/08 Happy Birthday to me!!! (Almost wrote my birth year when I put in that date :-) Thank you all for the birthday wishes the last few days! I really appreciate all your kind words. This was taken yesterday at sunset looking out over the Chesapeake Bay here in Cape Charles. We have walked along this path to the pier both of the nights we have been here. Very lovely place and beautiful sunsets. I have seen many of you post such magnificent sunsets over the water so wanted to try my hand at it too... Well off to more birthday fun! I will be back on more regularly after we return, and probably after the election...I know I have been very preoccupied with that! Have a great weekend and maybe I'll have a special photo to post tomorrow of my day today!!!
Post 279 10/31/08 The beauty of nature. We stopped near a field of cotton yesterday so I could take a few shots. So pretty and so amazing to see that the fibers of these 'pods' are what are woven into fabric....Nature is just wondrous sometimes isn't it?
Post 278 10/30/08 YAY Phillies!!!! What a thrill to see the Phillies win last night. We are in Cape Charles, VA for a getaway for my birthday this weekend. We listened to the game as we got into town, then found a little pub open and joyfully we were welcomed by some other Phillies fans to share the excitement. Just great! Steve loves baseball and his enthusiasm has been shared by me since the first time I watched a World Series ( The Phillies last World Series win) in 1980...this is just fun. We do not have TV or Internet in the house where we are staying so I am finally posting this from a local Cafe with WiFi...I will try to keep posting, but don't know how much time I will have for commenting... When the election is over I think/hope life will be calmer and I can be more in the routine! Thanks to all of you and your great pre-birthday wishes.
