Post 201 7/5/08 - The JOY of Photography....Yes, it's that good! This is a pic from the Central Park concert we went to last weekend. I am posting it for yesterday since I worked on processing the gallery to SmugMug ( among other things yesterday) and didn't take time last night to post this. This woman was beautiful and had the most animated face I had ever seen. She was taking pictures of her friend and just made all kinds of smiles and expressions while taking the pictures I had to take pictures of her... If you want to see more...you can wade through my Summer Stage in Central Park to see them! Thanks in advance if you do. I would love to know if you do, of course. It was mixed weather that day, mostly heavy thundershowers, so it was hard to tame the motion of the crowd and musicians, but I am pretty content with what I have...Probably should have whittled it down more and maybe in time I will. Thanks again!
Post 200 July 4th, 2008 - BBQ Grilled Salami!!! Mmmm Good!!! Not the most special photographically, but it was a tasty treat! We have friends who have hosted a huge 4th of July pool party for about 20 years and this is the first time in our 3 1/2 years back in the Philly area to make it to the party as we are usually away over the 4th. We have heard about their famous BBQ grilled Salami for years and it was just great...they must have cooked 6 pounds of the stuff for appetizers. There was tons of food later, too...hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, salads, desserts, drinks everything you want...but the BBQ grilled salami was the star of the party as promised! The gallery is going to be a password protected gallery as I had problems with one of the wedding galleries I had open before and with all the people here at this party ( approx 80) I felt it would be better this way...I don't want grief for anyone... I didn't feel the salami would come after me so this was my potd from today's event!
Post199 - 7/3/08 Enjoy the 4th of July and be safe!!! Steve and I turned onto a little street in Center City Philadelphia to head over toward an access road we often take into the city. I suddenly saw that some old buildings had been demolished and they revealed a wall that usually we can only barely see as we speed by up on I-95...Now that wall, with its amazing flag mural, was in full view...Isn't that incredible that it is painted and not a real flag? Steve pulled over so I could get out and get a shot of it...we both knew this was my potd!!! Have a safe 4th everyone!
