Post 666 - 3.6.10 Another shot from last week's shoot at the farm. I am going to Las Vegas early tomorrow to attend WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International tradeshow) ...I am so excited to go! I will be rooming with some other SmugMuggers...so you know it will be fun. I'm sure we will all have some great pictures and stories to share...hopefully some good learning, too! Thanks for all your wonderful and encouraging comments on my recent shots. I have sure been in waves of self-doubt with my photography..you all really have given me a great boost! Not taking my laptop, but maybe I'll send a post or two from my iPhone! Bye!
Post 665 3.3.10 A different type of shot for me... First of all, thank you so much for welcoming me back so warmly...Time has just not been on my side to participate as much as I used to on the dailies, but I sure feel like I still belong and your welcome confirmed it, thank you! To those who asked...yes, I am a Dental Hygienist, so that shot of the horse showing off his not quite ''Pearly Whites' was a real catch for me. I printed it and hung it in my operatory Monday and have created quite a bit of attention to my photography with that one! This is one that is sort of out of my comfort zone. I really am not a landscape photographer and as I said in the last month or so...not that inspired by snow scenes... I did go and trek through the woods at my friends farm though on Saturday and did what I could. When I got home and looked on the computer I was more pleased than not with some of the shots. Thanks again for all your time and wonderful comments....it encourages me! KDL Farm-3265-2
Post 664 3.2.10 GREETINGS!!! Long time no post.... Sorry that I have not been around much lately...Some family things have had priority..Some good, some not so good..., but all seems sort of stable now... I had a chance to shoot at a friend's farm last Saturday so here is one of my favorite shots. A few of you saw it yesterday. Thanks Deb (Larkphoto) for explaining that this was a 'posture' called Flehmen that the horse chose to use with me ( maybe I forgot to wear deodorant?) Anyway, the gallery is here if you care to see. I usually say I am not terribly inspired to shoot in the snow ( not much color), but this was fun and I am pretty happy with the results... Thank so much to those of you who continue to comment and check in with me...I'll try and get on more! Kate De Lane Farm Flehmen
