Ppost 671 4.13.10 A change of pace for me... This was taken while in Las Vegas attending WPPI (Wedding Portrait Professionals Int'l) I am not a wedding photographer, but went for the great opportunity to meet up with some of my SmugMug friends and atttend great classes. It was an awesome experience...but I digress. This shot was taken on a 'desert shoot' with 50+ other photographers. I had never had an experience like this before and it was really fun, however, it is a wierd sort of event. Everyone is shooting in groups ( there were 3 modeling 'stations' set up) and you have to watch out for people popping up in front of your camera or their shadows creeping into the picture...I guess it is good practice for being a papparazzi! This little girl was the 5 year old daughter of the fellow who organized the shoot. She was very nervous and intimidated at first, but then warmed up to the crowd... However, it was pretty cold out there that day and physically, none of us warmed up too much! Long story, but that is how this shot came about. Thank you all for your very generous comments on my pics the last few days from Washington, DC. I am trying to get in time for a little more commenting on your wonderful shots when I can..You all are my inspiration!!! Have a good day! :)
Post 670 4.12.10 Another shot from our DC day a week ago. This was taken at as we passed by a wedding that was being held next to the Jefferson Memorial. There were many people taking pictures so I just joined in and had a few minutes pretending to be a wedding photographer. I really like this of the Dad as he was starting to walk his daughter 'up the aisle'.. What a show that was with so many onlookers!
Post 669 4.11.10 Another image from our time in Washington, DC last weekend. This was SOOC!!! Today was a stay at home day to catch up on some organizing around the house. Steve is a bit under the weather and opted to just hang around at home so finally a chance to clean up an overloaded closet of clothing that is too big and/or I haven't worn in a year or two...amazing how much accumulates over time. Feels so good to get the spring cleaning (at least in my closet) done! Thanks to those of you who have been so kind as to comment on the few shots I post here and there...It is always so encouraging to me to read your words... Have a great week everyone!!!
