Post 673 4.15.10 A little closer zoom to our model. Shot from same distance as yesterday's shot. Isn't bright light a wonderful thing in helping to get sharp focus..though actually as i start to sort through my pics from that day, there are many that did not focus so well. Unbelievable response and support from you for yesterday's shot!!! Thank you, so much...it was a fun opportunity and not the kind of thing I would have a chance to do on a regular basis. The desert was really gorgeous that afternoon and shooting in a dry riverbed really gave a fabulous feel to the location.
Post 672 4.14.10 Talk about Surreal... Since you liked yesterdays post from my 'desert shoot'....here's another! Thank you all so very, very much for your comments on yesterday's shot. Funny how I have not really had time to edit the images from that day and didn't think too much about them, but looking at them again after some time and distance I am a little excited to finally have time in the next couple of days to edit and post a gallery from that day on the desert. This was basically straight out of the camera except for a slight addition of contrast since I had shot in RAW. Thank you so much for your time!
Ppost 671 4.13.10 A change of pace for me... This was taken while in Las Vegas attending WPPI (Wedding Portrait Professionals Int'l) I am not a wedding photographer, but went for the great opportunity to meet up with some of my SmugMug friends and atttend great classes. It was an awesome experience...but I digress. This shot was taken on a 'desert shoot' with 50+ other photographers. I had never had an experience like this before and it was really fun, however, it is a wierd sort of event. Everyone is shooting in groups ( there were 3 modeling 'stations' set up) and you have to watch out for people popping up in front of your camera or their shadows creeping into the picture...I guess it is good practice for being a papparazzi! This little girl was the 5 year old daughter of the fellow who organized the shoot. She was very nervous and intimidated at first, but then warmed up to the crowd... However, it was pretty cold out there that day and physically, none of us warmed up too much! Long story, but that is how this shot came about. Thank you all for your very generous comments on my pics the last few days from Washington, DC. I am trying to get in time for a little more commenting on your wonderful shots when I can..You all are my inspiration!!! Have a good day! :)
