Post 829 4.23.11 A photo from the 'archives'... It is another gray, rainy, dreary day here in the northeast.. I was scanning a few old shots ( from the 60's) for my husband to share with some friends and was using Picasa on our old PC.. I started browsing some of my old photos in Picasa and found this burst of color and decided to play with it a little.. just put in some periferral blur and uploaded to SmugMug.... Bright color to brighten my day and hopefully yours, too. Thank you all so much for your enthusiasm for my black and white shot of Deb yesterday. So glad to see it met with approval! Post 828 4.22.11 My good friend Deb Glessner ( Larkphoto).. We had lunch the other day and we were talking about photography (surprise!) and one of the topics was "saving" not so great photos and another was about carrying around a point and shoot to have when we just want a camera with us, but to carry the dslr is just too much. I whipped out my little Canon Elph 'Power Shot SD1400IS' and took a quick shot of Deb..it was not very good. It was too bright a flash and sort of shocking up close.. Anyway, I didn't really have a new photo to post today, then remembered that 'bad' shot I took at Panera on Wednesday. A little tweaking in Lightroom and I think this is a nice shot of Deb! She is a beautiful person inside and out! She appreciates that I introduced her to the Daily community and I appreciate a dear friend with whom I can share photography conversation as well as discussions of life and living.. Post 827 4.21.11 A walk in the park brought the bonus of bumping into a friend. Steve and I took a walk yesterday at a local park and were so happy to bump into my friend Karen. She is one of the most wonderful people I know and we enjoyed chatting for about 20 minutes before continuing our walk, I took this shot rather quickly and the focus was soft so I converted to Sepia in Lightroom to get something worth sharing. I only took the one quick shot so it was all I had to work with! Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments on my shot of Seth Walker onstage yesterday. You guys really keep me going!!!
