Post #1 1.5.11 My older son while we were walking along the Seine in Paris -A picture from our recent fall trip.. It was late in the day and the photos were quite soft so a black and white conversion really helped the shot, I think. I don't usually add grain, but I sort of liked it with this one..like the old Tri-X film... :)
Thank you for the invitation to be part of this group. I am looking forward to this new smaller community, though I will still be part of the other "Dailies" as that had such a monumental effect to my photography and I still have a great affection to the group..I agree that there are many new people there and it is a bit unwieldly, but I am mostly overwhelmed by the Internet, email and technology overload anyway.. can't do it all, so I will do what I can. I do appreciate that this will be an 'honest' forum.. I have appreciated the positive feedback in the 'Dailies', but sometimes we really do need help and a critical eye to help us grow. Not every picture posted is a "Great Capture"... Thank you, again, for including me and though I won't be here every day I surely will enjoy being here when I can!!! A great new avenue for the New Year!
